Patriots QB Tom Brady Expected To Play Through Shoulder Injury (REPORT)

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a non-throwing left shoulder injury during last week’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but is not expected to miss any time due to the injury, according to multiple reports.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Brady had suffered an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder and that the future Hall of Fame quarterback did not participate in practice on Tuesday.

Brady has been the sixth most sacked quarterback in the NFL this season, going down 16 times through five games. Despite some shaky offensive line play, the five-time Super Bowl champion is leading the league in passing yards (1,702) through Week 5.

Brady has thrown 11 touchdowns to one interception on the season but his sole turnover came against Tampa Bay last week.

The Patriots travel to New York to face the Jets in Week 6 and will look to keep Gang Green’s pass rushers at bay, as they look to avoid hits on their 40-year-old quarterback.

The Jets, Patriots, and Buffalo Bills all sit atop the AFC East with 3-2 records.
